RESEARCH REPORT Q1. What are the similarities and differences of the answer of the grandparents? Answer: - The food served at their time was very healthy because most of the food was home cooked and it consisted of roti, rice, milk, ghee etc. During the time of first generation there was less use of fertilizers in growing fruits and vegetables and so the people used to remain healthy. Their routine was very well and they followed this everyday.
Differences are like at the time of first generation they used to walk to places as the facility of private transport was not easily available and affordable. But in the second generation private transport are easily available. The families mostly bought the food from local market because during their time the facility of supermarket was not available. Earlier time there were no good medical facilities, better awareness and advanced technology, but during that time they used to have everything organic and due to this they didn’t suffer with any diseases and stayed a healthy life.
Q2. What are the similarities and differences of the answers of the parents? Answer:- Parents also had a lot of healthy food such as ghee, leafy vegetables etc. To stay fit they did morning walks, yoga and meditation. When they were small they played games like cricket, kabaddi, kho-kho etc. Parents did not practice any sports professionally and played local games. Differences are like first generation had a well maintained schedule and they followed it everyday and in case of second generation and according to then in the present situation children are playing games on mobile phones and due to the attraction of mobile games they are unable to play outside games and therefore due to this it has affected the physical and mental growth of a child. Nowadays many of us are attracted towards junk food and due to this they are suffering various types of diseases in future.
Q3. Compare the answers of the grandparents and parents. What are the similarities and differences? Answer:- Both the generations used to eat lots of healthy food. They also did a lot of exercise, yoga, meditation and played a lot of games. They used to have a well maintained schedule which they followed everyday and as a result both the generations lived a healthy life. Differences are like, as we saw first generation they were not having excess to private transport and also with good medical facilities but second generation was having all these facilities. The first generation ate a lot of organic food which was very nutritive and good for their health but in case of second generation according to them many teenagers were attracted towards junk food, video games and their interaction with people was also reduced.
Q4. Conclusion on the answer of grandparents and parents. Is there a development visible with regards to the sub question? Answer:- Both the generations parents and grandparents did a lot of exercise to stay fit and they led a healthy lifestyle. In case of second generation (teenagers) they are not mostly living a healthy life. The parents and grandparents had healthy food and the presence of junk food in their diet was negligible…………… Yes, there is a lot of development visible with the regards to the sub-questions because “Being healthy should be a part of our overall lifestyle and because of it we can also get an attractive self image and we always go to things which are good and right for our body because health is wealth ”
Conclusion Q1. To what extent has the general lifestyle of the family changed to either more or less healthy? Answer:- The general lifestyle of family changed to less healthy because due to the hustle and bustle of life as everyone is too busy and we can see the effects of these life pace on people’s health. As they don’t have enough time to prepare homemade food and consequently they eat more fast food which is not healthy and cause obesity. And nowadays as people are affordable to smart technologies they have become lazy and as they are attracted towards video games they are not indulged in physical activities which is too harmful for them.
Q2. Does your group think that young people maintain a healthy lifestyle nowadays? Answer:- My group thinks that young people don’t maintain a healthy lifestyle nowadays because lack of physical activities young people are attracted towards video games. They are also eating a lot of fast food which are oily, salty and greasy. As a result, there is an growing number of young people who suffer from obesity and due to this they get heart diseases, diabetes, etc. which is very harmful. There is also a lack of interaction with people because most of the young people are addicted to their devices and they can badly imagine a life without it and many young people are also addicted towards drinking, smoking, taking drugs etc……..
